I get calls from people in Howard County who bought a sailboat years ago and life moved on. The mast came down one fall and never went back up. Storage fees at the marina kept climbing, or slip rent ate into a budget that had room for sailing and nothing else. Sometimes it's an estate, and nobody in the family sails. Sometimes the rig failed survey and the sale fell through, and the boat's been sitting in dry storage ever since, waiting for a buyer who never came. The trailer sailer behind the garage, the one that moved here with a house purchase from out of state, the one that needs work and the owner ran out of time. That's who calls.
We handle sailboat disposal in Kokomo and the surrounding area, including runs to Cassville and Center on the same trip. The crew comes out, brings the mast down if it's still standing, disconnects the rigging, secures everything to the trailer or cradles it for tow. We handle the haul from start to finish. Missing paperwork, a title that's buried somewhere, a bill of sale you can't find, a registration from another state, none of that stops the job. Details on how we work through the paperwork are on the Indiana sailboat disposal page.
