Hammond, IN: 22 ft Catalina Gone in One Morning

A 22 ft Catalina 22 sat in a Hammond yard for years, mast down and lashed to the deck, the fiberglass hull slowly weathering where it had been parked. The swing-keel trailer underneath had flat tires and hadn't moved in so long the owner had stopped thinking about moving it. That's usually how these jobs find us. Getting it out meant dealing with the flat tires first, then rigging a heavy-duty dolly under the keel frame because the trailer wasn't going anywhere on its own. The crew jacked the hull carefully, swapped in a working set of wheels, and towed it down toward Gary and out to our yard. Most of a morning, start to finish. Once we had it secured, we pulled the swing keel and brought the mast down to length so the hull could be prepped for the processor. The fiberglass went to recycling, the keel and hardware were salvaged, and the trailer stayed behind for parts. We cover all of Lake County: Gary, Merrillville, Crown Point, Schererville, Hobart, East Chicago. Most pickups happen within the same week you call. A lot of boats move in and out of storage facilities around Hammond in spring and fall, and we handle those routes regularly, so scheduling usually works out fast. You tell us where the boat sits, we confirm the date, and we show up and load it.
