Hauling a bowrider out of a Alameda driveway

An 18 ft Sea Ray 180 bowrider had been parked in a driveway in Alameda County for three years. The sun-bleached cover was shredded at the seams, and the trailer tires had gone dry-rot. The owner had stopped thinking about it until a neighbor mentioned it one too many times, and that's when we got the call. The real problem wasn't the boat itself. It was the trailer. Those tires wouldn't roll, and the driveway was tight,narrow entry, a low-hanging power line, and a fence line that left maybe six feet of clearance on one side. We couldn't just tow it straight out toward the street. So we brought in a heavy-duty dolly, jacked the hull off the frame, and wheeled it out perpendicular to the trailer. Took the trailer separately. The whole job ran under two hours. Once it was loaded and secured on the truck, we routed the hull to the processor in the East Bay. No title in the drawer, handled per California's abandonment rules. The driveway was clean. The owner didn't have to think about it anymore. We cover all of Alameda County: Oakland, Fremont, Hayward, Berkeley, San Leandro, Livermore. Most pickups happen within the same week.
