Hauling a pontoon out of a Beaumont salvage job

A 22 ft Sun Tracker Party Barge 22 pontoon sat in a yard in Beaumont with spongy deck boards and a bent rail, no trailer underneath it. The owner had stopped using it years ago, and when he finally called, the boat was stuck on blocks and hadn't moved in so long the ground had settled around it. Getting it out meant we couldn't just winch it onto a standard trailer and roll. We had to bring in a heavy-duty recovery rig, carefully dig out the settled earth around the pontoon's footprint, and use airbags to lift it just enough to slide a low-boy underneath. The whole operation ran most of a morning. Once we had it loaded and secured, we hauled it back to our Beaumont yard for assessment. The hull had held up better than the deck, and the outboard was worth salvaging. We stripped what we could, recycled the aluminum and reusable parts, and sent the rest to the proper facility. No title in the drawer, handled per the Texas rules. Owner got his lot back clean, and we got a solid recovery job done right. We cover all of Jefferson County: Port Arthur, Nederland, Groves, Port Neches, Central Gardens, Fannett. Most calls come in during spring and fall when owners move boats in and out of storage or decide they're done with the slip fees. We schedule pickups the same week you call, and we've hauled plenty of 22-footers off trailers in Beaumont driveways and out of marinas across the county. One truck, one crew, one flat quote before we roll.
