A storage unit bill that kept climbing is what finally pushed that bass boat out the door. The trolling motor had failed a couple seasons back, and rather than fix a boat he'd stopped fishing from anyway, the owner just kept paying the monthly lot fee out of habit until the total finally got his attention. The lot manager had started sending notices too, warning the space would be reassigned if the account stayed behind. Getting a truck into the row meant threading between two other stored trailers with barely a foot of clearance on either side, so we walked the Ranger out by hand to a wider aisle before hitching it up. Added maybe fifteen minutes. The hull and trailer were both sound, just the motor dead, so the whole rig is headed to a recycler that'll separate the parts worth keeping.
