Wichita, KS: 16 ft Lund Gone in One Morning

This 16 ft Lund 1600 Fury had sat in a Wichita driveway long enough for the transom plywood to rot clean through, the kind of damage you find when you push on the motor mount and it just gives. The owner had picked it up secondhand years back, fished it a season or two, then let it sit once the deck started feeling soft underfoot. By the time we got the call it wasn't going back on the water, it was just taking up space next to the garage. The trailer itself was still serviceable, tires held air, hubs turned fine, so getting it out wasn't the problem. The problem was the tongue jack had rusted solid and the whole rig had settled into a low spot in the gravel. We jacked the frame by hand, cleared enough room to get a strap on it, and winched it free without needing to tear up the yard. Took under an hour once we had the truck positioned. There was no title in the drawer, so we handled that part per the Kansas paperwork rules before we ever pulled off the property. From there the hull went straight to the metal recycler, aluminum being about as easy a load as we get. Crews cover all of Sedgwick County: Derby, Rockford, Riverside, Haysville, Park City, Bel Aire. Most pickups get scheduled the same week you call, no waiting around for a callback. A lot of our Wichita runs happen in spring and fall, when folks are clearing a 16 ft Lund out of the side yard before it goes into storage, or pulling one out that never made it back on the water. Either way, we handle the load-out.
