27 ft Catalina Removal in Manhattan, KS

A 27 ft Catalina 27 sailboat had been sitting on stands in a Pottawatomie County driveway for years. The standing rigging was seized solid, and the sails were rotted inside their bags. The owner had bought it with plans to restore it, but life got in the way, and eventually he stopped walking past it altogether. The trailer was on blocks, which meant we couldn't just hook and haul. We brought a crane to the site, lifted the hull off the stands, and set it on our flatbed. The mast was already down, which saved time. Once we had it at our yard, we pulled the keel and began breaking down the fiberglass for processing. Most of the work ran under a morning, and the driveway was clear by early afternoon. Crews cover all of Pottawatomie County: Wamego, St. Marys, St. George, Westmoreland, Onaga, Olsburg. Most pickups happen within the same week. A lot of boats come out of storage in spring or go back in before winter, and we handle those moves regularly. Manhattan sits central to the county, so we're moving rigs in and out year-round.
