Sunken Aft Cabin Cruiser Recovery in Cooper City

Windows leaked on the 28 ft Carver 28 until the interior gave up, the carpet peeling off and the cabin sole soaked. On her mooring she took on more each rain, and finally she settled by the stern with the bow pointing up.
The interior was the obstacle. Soaked wood and foam hold a surprising amount of water, so the hull stayed heavy even after we pumped the bilge. We stripped the cabin on the surface, bagged the debris, and let the bags at the stern carry the weight while the water drained out.
The job took about five hours. With the stringers and bulkheads rotted, no yard would take on a rebuild, so the tow ran toward Fort Lauderdale to our yard for dismantling and recycling. The salvage was the twin engines, and this sunken boat recovery left the mooring clear.

Crews cover Broward County: Pembroke Pines, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Deerfield Beach, Coral Springs, and Plantation. Anywhere in the county, a sunken boat usually sees a diver and a workboat from us within the same week. Photos and a rough depth are all we need to describe the job and say where the hull goes afterward.
