Marina Boat Removal in Chula Vista, CA

Sailboats sit quieter in a slip than powerboats, which is part of why nobody noticed this one for two years. The Catalina had been paid up and forgotten, slip fees running on autopay long after anyone actually used it, until the balance quietly ran past what made sense to keep covering. Eventually the marina sent a letter threatening to start its own process if the account wasn't settled. That's when we got the call. The mast made this one different from a powerboat pull, we had to unstep it dockside before the hull would even clear the marina's overhead lines on the way out. Took a two-person rig and about three hours total between the mast work and the haul itself. Once it was down and secured, moving the hull was straightforward. The fiberglass went to a recycler that handles larger hulls, and the rigging got sold off separately to a buyer who deals in used sailboat hardware. Slip's open again.
