Hauling a sailboat out of a Conway driveway

A 22 ft Catalina 22 sat in a driveway in Conway, Arkansas with its mast down and lashed to the deck. The swing-keel trailer underneath had flat tires and hadn't moved in years. The owner had bought the boat thinking he'd sail it, but life got in the way, and eventually he just stopped looking at it. When we showed up, the real problem was access. The driveway was narrow, and the boat sat close enough to the garage that a standard flatbed couldn't angle in. We had to bring a smaller recovery truck first, offload the sailboat onto a rotator, and swing it parallel to the property line. From there we could load it onto our transport rig. The whole job took most of a morning, including rigging the mast for safe transport. Once we got it to our yard in Faulkner County, we removed the swing keel and prepped the hull for the recycler.
