Rogers, AR: 27 ft Chris-Craft Commander Gone in One Morning

A 27 ft Chris-Craft Commander 27 cabin cruiser sat in a residential yard in Rogers for three years. The fiberglass hull was intact, but a persistent fuel smell had killed every sale attempt, and without a trailer, moving it meant custom rigging. We assessed the site and rigged a heavy-duty frame to lift the hull off its blocks. The access was tight,narrow driveway, power lines overhead,so we staged a crane from the street and worked the boat up and over the house line in stages. Most of the morning to get it loaded and secured on the transport bed. From there it was a straight haul to the processor in Benton County. The hull was cut down and the fiberglass routed for recycling. One less boat in someone's yard, and the owner finally had the space back.
