Sunken Sailboat Recovery in Deerfield Beach

Mast down and lashed on deck for years, the 22 ft Catalina 22 finally lost the argument with its slip. Deck awash, bow slightly up, tight between a trawler and a center console.
Space was the complication, not depth. The mast hung over the stern like a flagpole, and the neighbors' lines crossed her bow. We unlashed the mast and passed it to a second skiff, then set lift bags in pairs and brought her up with a hand on each fender. No scrape on the neighbors.
About three hours. A short tow carried her to the ramp for the trailer, and the owner signed the release at lunch. Too much wet rot in the cabin for a repair yard, so she went to dismantling and recycling at our yard. The mast and rigging went out as salvage. A quiet piece of sunken boat recovery in a busy marina.

Crews cover Broward County: Coral Springs, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, and Pembroke Pines. Crews cover Broward County, and Deerfield Beach marina calls are on the same-week schedule. We time the haul inland before the beach crowds arrive, which keeps a long trailer out of beachside traffic. Marina dockmasters usually get a heads-up call from us the day before.
