Raising a 25 ft O'Day 25 in Delray Beach, FL

Keel bolts weeping rust down the hull is a warning, and the 25 ft O'Day 25 had been giving it for years. She went down against a canal seawall with only her cabin roof above the water, and the owner called the day he spotted her.
The seawall and the keel were the problem together. Concrete on one side, ballast dragging the other, and no way to bring a crane over private lawns. We cut the standing rig loose, used lift bags to float her off the bottom, and walked her along the wall to an open ramp by hand lines.
About four hours. A tow ran her up to Boynton Beach for the trailer, and the hull went to our yard for dismantling and recycling. Keel bolts gone, hull wet-cored. The lead keel was the salvage. Sunken boat removal, done one slow step at a time.

Canal work in Delray Beach means narrow residential frontages, so our driver scouts the street ahead and the crew keeps a spotter at the trailer tail. Seawall height and canal width go on the booking sheet before the truck is loaded.
