Du Page, IL: 20 ft Sylvan Mirage Gone in One Morning

A 20 ft Sylvan Mirage 20 pontoon was sitting in a driveway in Will County, parked on a serviceable trailer but going nowhere. The pontoons were stained dark at the waterline, the furniture was rotted through, and the whole rig had become a permanent fixture in someone's yard. The owner had pulled it out of storage a few years back thinking he'd use it again. He didn't. By the time we got the call, it was clear nothing was changing. The trailer was solid enough to tow, but the pontoon itself was heavy, and access from the driveway to the street meant a tight angle past a detached garage. We brought a heavy-duty wrecker and worked the rig out carefully, taking most of a morning to line it up without clipping anything. Once we had it pointed the right way, the haul to our facility was straightforward. No title in the drawer, so we handled the paperwork per Illinois rules. The Sylvan came in on the trailer, and by end of day it was in our yard waiting for assessment. Crews cover all of Will County: Romeoville, New Lenox, Lockport, Crest Hill, Mokena, Shorewood. Most pickups happen same week. We see a lot of seasonal movement around Du Page, boats coming out of storage in spring and going back in fall. That's when the phone rings, and that's when we show up on schedule.
