Raising a 25 ft O'Day 25 in Estero, FL

The owner of a 25 ft O'Day 25 with keel bolts weeping rust sent one photo and one line, and the line said she was on the bottom. By the time we arrived, only the bow showed, tilted up out of the water on her mooring.
The mooring sat in skinny water, and at low tide our work skiff touched bottom before it got close. So we waited for the tide to come up, then ran straps under the hull and attached lift bags once the skiff could float. She came off the bottom in soft mud, which held her hard, and it took a long slow pull to break the suction.
The whole job ran about three hours. Sunken boat removal in a shallow spot is mostly patience. The keel bolts were too rusted to trust, so the O'Day went by trailer up through Fort Myers to our yard for dismantling and recycling. We kept the winches and the cleats for salvage. A short tow got her to the ramp.

Crews cover Lee County: Bonita Springs, Cape Coral, Cypress Lake, Fort Myers. Lee County is a short run for our crews. Skinny-water jobs get planned around the tide table, and we raise most boats here the same week, with the load usually reaching the yard well before dark. Send a photo from the water side and a rough depth and we will have a day on the calendar before dark.
