Fort Pierce, FL: 22 ft Sun Tracker Party Barge 22 Off the Bottom in One Morning

A rail bent in by a hard dock hit and spongy deck boards were the marks of the 22 ft Sun Tracker Party Barge 22. Settled by the stern on her mooring, the bow pointed up while the back deck sat well under.
The obstacle was the party-barge deck itself. Spongy boards cannot take a strap, so we ran lines around the pontoons and not the deck. Pumps went into each tube while the diver sealed the worst leak, and the barge came up level. Wet carpet and rotted boards stayed in the water until the end and then went into the trailer bin.
The job took about three hours. The tubes were dented and the deck was past saving, so the tow went toward Port Saint Lucie to our yard for dismantling and recycling. The salvage here was the tubes and the motor. This sunken boat removal left the mooring clear the same afternoon.
