Gainesville, FL: 24 ft Harris FloteBote 24 Off the Bottom in One Morning

It took a phone call from a ramp attendant to find the 24 ft Harris FloteBote 24, bubbled vinyl and a snapped bimini frame and all. She sat stern-down on the ramp with the bow pointing up.
The ramp was muddy and slick, and our truck would not hold traction at the water's edge. So we laid mats and set the truck on firm ground, then brought the pontoon up with a long winch line and four lift bags. She came up the slope in two stages, one tube at a time.
The job took most of a morning. Sunken boat removal on a muddy ramp is a traction problem. The tubes were sound, so the pontoon was salvaged and went through Alachua to a repair yard. The tow from the ramp to the road was short.

Crews cover Alachua County: Alachua, Archer, Earleton, High Springs. Alachua County crews work the ramps, lakes, and springs. A muddy ramp gets mats, and most raises happen within the week we are called. Tell us about the ramp surface and the length of the pontoon and we bring matting and an extra winch line. The route from here to our yard is mostly highway, so the load rarely sits long on the trailer.
