Sunken Aft Cabin Cruiser Recovery in Lauderhill

The windows on the 28 ft Carver 28 aft cabin cruiser leaked until the interior gave up, and it showed. On her mooring, the water crept above the cabin sole and kept climbing. A heavy rain finished the job, and she sank until the cabin roof barely cleared the surface.
The obstacle was the interior. Wet carpet, cabinets, and headliner turn to heavy mush, and everything inside holds water. The crew pulled loose material out through the companionway by hand before the lift, which lightened the load and kept the drain lines clear. Then three bags went on and she rose over about ninety minutes.
With the cabin gutted, the hull showed delamination along the chine, and repair would have cost more than the boat was worth. There was no salvage left to argue about. We did the tow to the ramp near Plantation, and she went to our yard for dismantling and recycling. Five hours on site, start to finish of the sunken boat removal.

Crews cover Broward County: Pembroke Pines, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Deerfield Beach, Coral Springs, Plantation. A boat sitting on the bottom only becomes harder to deal with as the water works on it, so we try to reach the site the same week you call. Send one photo, the length, and the location, and we will explain how we would raise the boat and where it ends up afterward.
