Rockledge, FL: 24 ft Formula 242 Off the Bottom in One Morning

The first thing we found on the 24 ft Formula 242 cuddy cabin, after the water, was stringers rotted under the cockpit floor.
She went down at a seawall with the cabin roof just above the surface. The hull was soft inside, and a soft hull will flex under a lift bag until it cracks. The obstacle was that flex. We spread the load with long straps so the bags pushed on the outer shell evenly, not on one spot, and floated her on a slow count. She came up with the gunwales dripping and no new crack.
The job was about five hours on site. We did the tow along the wall to a crane spot near Cocoa, and lifted her out. She was too far gone in the stringers for a rebuild, so she went to our yard. Engine and drive went to salvage, and the hull was cut up and sent to recycling. That was sunken boat removal, start to finish.

Illustrative example — a representative sunken boat recovery in Brevard County, not a record of a specific customer job. Photos are illustrative too.

Crews cover Brevard County: Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Melbourne, and Merritt Island. From Rockledge, the response is the same week. Send the depth and a few photos of the cuddy cabin. A hull against a canal seawall is floated out in place, since no crane fits there. Tight access changes the plan, not the week.
