Sunken Cabin Cruiser Recovery in Hallandale Beach

The 24 ft Bayliner 2455 Ciera wore a green algae line and a chalky hull, the signs of years on a mooring with nobody checking her. A through-hull let go, and she settled by the stern with the bow pointing up.
Our obstacle was visibility. The water was murky, so the diver worked by feel, finding the through-hull and plugging it before any pumping began. Without the plug, pumps would just have chased the leak. With it sealed, we ran bags along the gunwales and brought the hull up even. The cabin was full of silt, which we flushed on the surface.
We spent about three hours on site. Chalky gelcoat and a spongy transom meant no one would pay to fix her, so the tow headed toward Fort Lauderdale to our yard for dismantling and recycling. The sunken boat removal ended with the engine going out as salvage.

From any of these towns we can have a diver and a workboat on the water the same week the call comes in. Forward the photos and a depth estimate, and we will tell you what the job takes and where the hull is bound.
