Inherited Boat Disposal in Hawley, PA

A sailboat inherited along with a lake cabin turned out to be the harder half of the estate to deal with. The cabin itself sold within weeks, but the Catalina 22 sat on its trailer in the side yard through two more seasons while the heirs worked out who was responsible for it. Nobody in the family sailed, and the boat had been out of the water long enough that the mast was still down from a haul-out years earlier. The narrow lane down to the cabin, barely wide enough for one vehicle, meant our truck had to back the trailer in blind for almost a quarter mile before we could even hitch up. Once we were in position the pull out was simple, mast lashed down tight for the drive.
