A 27 ft Catalina 27 sailboat had been sitting in a La Mesa driveway for three years. The standing rigging was seized, the sails rotted inside their bag, and the fiberglass hull was chalking in the sun. The owner had bought it decades ago thinking he'd restore it. He never did.
