Raising a 26 ft Sea Ray 268 Sundancer in Lakeland, FL

Nobody could say how long the 26 ft Sea Ray 268 Sundancer had been at that lake dock, only that she had a soft transom and peeling bottom paint. A rainy week filled the bilge and the stern settled, leaving her with the bow pointing up and the cockpit full.
The obstacle was visibility. The lake water was tannin dark, and divers could see nothing past a hand in front of their face. Strapping the hull took longer, because they worked by feel along the keel line and tagged each strap with a float so the crew topside knew where it ran. After that, three lift bags went on and a drain line cleared the cabin as she came up level.
The transom core was wet but repairable, so we treated it as a salvage. A tow carried her to the ramp and a truck took her to a repair yard near Auburndale. About five hours on site for the whole sunken boat recovery.

Crews cover Polk County: Auburndale, Bartow, Davenport, Fuller Heights. We work to reach sunken boats here within the week, because a hull left sitting lets fuel and oil spread. Call once, send some photos, and the job is booked, with the crew bringing all the equipment for the lift. A smaller town without a ramp nearby is handled in just the same manner.
