Lakewood, OH: 18 ft Renken Gone in One Morning

An 18 ft Renken 180 bowrider had been sitting in a Lakewood driveway for years. The floor plywood was crumbling, you could push a finger through it in a half-dozen spots, and the trailer tires had gone to powder. The owner had kept meaning to deal with it, but every spring turned into summer, and by winter it was just part of the landscape. Getting it out wasn't complicated, but it was deliberate. The trailer couldn't roll under its own weight, so we brought a rotator and a heavy-duty dolly. We jacked the hull carefully, slid the trailer out from under it, and set the boat on the dolly. The driveway was tight, and we had to angle it hard to clear the corner toward the street. Most of the morning was loading and securing. The fiberglass hull itself was sound enough,no soft spots, no major cracks,so instead of scrapping it on the spot, we routed it to the processor in Cuyahoga County where it gets broken down and recycled. Crews cover all of Cuyahoga County: Cleveland, Parma, Euclid, Strongsville, Cleveland Heights, Westlake. We handle pickups same week in most cases, and we know the seasonal rhythm here, boats moving in and out of storage facilities, driveways, and marinas throughout fall and spring. Call with your address and the size of the rig, and we'll tell you the day we can load it.
