Land O Lakes, FL: 34 ft Silverton 34 Off the Bottom in One Morning

There was a decade on the hard under a blue tarp roof behind the 34 ft Silverton 34 motor yacht, and the tarp told the whole story. She had been moved to a canal seawall when her cradle failed, and the first big rain got in through the aged hatches. She sank until only the cabin roof showed above the surface.
The obstacle was size. A 34-footer with two engines and a full interior holds a lot of water, and the street behind the seawall could not take a crane. The crew staged six lift bags, set two drain lines on the cabin, and raised her over several hours, adjusting so she would not roll against the wall.
Once she floated, we held her on lines for a slow tow along the canal to a ramp that could take her, with Hudson the nearest town on the road route. She was too far gone for any salvage. She went to our yard for dismantling and recycling after about seven hours of sunken boat removal.

Crews cover Pasco County: Holiday, Hudson, Jasmine Estates, New Port Richey. A hull that sits lets fuel and oil spread, so work in this area usually happens the same week as the call. After one phone call and a handful of pictures, we schedule the work and show up equipped for the whole lift. We treat smaller towns that lack a close ramp exactly like the bigger ones.
