27 ft Cal Removal in Longview, TX

A 27 ft Cal 27 had been sitting on stands near Kilgore for three seasons. The boom was gone, the mast corroded at the step, and the fiberglass hull was starting to show what neglect does to a sailboat left exposed. The owner called us after a neighbor mentioned they'd seen it listed online. We knew right away this wasn't a sale,it was a removal. The trailer wasn't going anywhere under its own power, and the boat itself was too compromised to move as-is. We brought a crane and a heavy-duty dolly. The mast came down first, cut at the corroded step. Then we pulled the keel, which freed up enough weight and height for the hull to slide onto our transport rig. Most of the job ran about three hours on-site, including the paperwork and photo documentation. Back at our yard in Texas, we cut the hull into manageable sections and routed the fiberglass and hardware to the appropriate recyclers. The keel and mast went to metal recovery. Nothing went to a landfill. We cover all of Gregg County: Kilgore, White Oak, Gladewater, Lake Cherokee, Liberty City, Lakeport. Most pickups happen same week. A lot of boats come through Longview in spring and fall when people move them in and out of storage, so we've got the routes dialed in. Call with the address and boat size, and we'll tell you when we can get there.
