Hauling a fishing boat out of a Lorain storage lot

A 16 ft Lund 1600 Fury sat in a Lorain County yard for three seasons. Aluminum hull, fishing boat, solid bones,except the transom plywood had rotted clean through, which meant the motor brackets were going with it. The trailer was still serviceable, but the boat had settled into the grass and wasn't going anywhere on its own. The owner had stopped using it years back and finally decided to call us instead of letting it keep taking up space. We rolled in on a Thursday morning with a flatbed and our recovery gear. The challenge wasn't the boat itself,it was access. The property sat tight, and the only way out ran past a low-hanging oak limb and a narrow fence gate that didn't leave much margin on either side. We pulled the boat off the trailer first, set it on the flatbed with proper blocking, then winched the trailer separately. The whole job ran under two hours from arrival to loaded and ready to roll. The Lund went straight to the metal recycler in Lorain. Aluminum hull gets sorted, processed, and turned into new material. The rotted transom and hardware got handled per protocol.
