Hauling a pontoon out of a Manhattan salvage job

This 22 ft Sun Tracker Party Barge 22 had gone down low at its mooring, deck boards gone spongy and soft underfoot, one rail bent from years of getting knocked around before it finally settled. No trailer anywhere in the picture. Pontoons were still holding some air but the deck itself wasn't safe to stand on for long, which is usually how these slow sinkings go in New York County once the wood starts wicking water and nobody's pulling it for the season. Access was the real problem. No trailer meant no easy way to drag it up a ramp, and with the deck too soft to walk across, my crew had to work the barge from the water side, rigging straps under the pontoon frame instead of the decking. We floated it enough to walk it toward a haul point, working around Roosevelt Island traffic to get the truck in position. No title in the drawer, handled per the New York page rules. Took most of a morning between the rigging and the pull. Boat's at our yard now, off the water for good.
