Memphis, TN: 21 ft Thompson Gone in One Morning

This one was a 21 ft Thompson 21, cuddy cabin, fiberglass hull, sitting in Shelby County with the outdrive pulled off years back and never bolted on again. Whoever pulled it figured they'd get to it eventually. That eventually turned into a stack of seasons, and the single axle trailer under it had bent enough on one side that the boat sat crooked in the yard, tire half flat, frame twisted just enough to make towing it out on its own wheels a bad idea. We routed the truck in off the Bartlett side road and brought a second trailer instead of trusting the bent one for the haul. That was the whole obstacle, really, getting the hull up and transferred without leaning on a frame that wasn't going to hold up for miles. Took most of a morning, mostly rigging straps and easing the boat over rather than fighting it. No title in the drawer, handled per the Tennessee page rules. From there the Thompson went straight to the processor. Fiberglass hull, no motor, nothing worth saving once that outdrive was gone. Cut down, hauled off, done. Crews cover all of Shelby County: Bartlett, Collierville, Germantown, Arlington, Lakeland, Millington. Most weeks we can get a truck to your address within a few days of that first call, no long wait strung out over a month. A lot of our Memphis runs happen right when someone's pulling a boat out of seasonal storage and realizing it's not worth putting back in, and we build the route around wherever that yard or unit sits.
