Collierville, TN: 26 ft MacGregor Gone in One Morning

A 26 ft MacGregor 26 sailboat sat in a Collierville driveway for three years, its cabin mildewed and the rudder long gone. The owner had bought it thinking he'd restore it someday. He never did. When we arrived, the trailer was sound but the boat was heavy, and the driveway slope made loading tricky. We brought a second winch and worked the angle so the keel wouldn't catch on the frame. Most of a morning to get it loaded and secured. At the yard, we pulled the mast down, removed the keel, and cut the hull into manageable sections. Fiberglass goes to the processor. The aluminum and steel get sorted and recycled. By Tuesday afternoon, the driveway was empty. No boat. No trailer. No three-year conversation with the neighbors about what was sitting there. Crews cover all of Shelby County: Memphis, Bartlett, Germantown, Arlington, Lakeland, Millington. We handle same-week pickups across Collierville, and we see a lot of seasonal movement here. People store boats outside the season, then pull them out come spring, and when that MacGregor or any other rig doesn't fit the plan anymore, we're the call. That 26-footer in Collierville moves the same way any boat does for us anywhere in the county.
