Franklin, TN: 17 ft Glasspar Seafair Gone in One Morning

A 17 ft Glasspar Seafair runabout had been sitting in a Franklin driveway for years, gelcoat chalked and faded from the sixties. The fiberglass hull was soft in places, and the vintage trailer it sat on had collapsed years ago, leaving the boat resting on concrete blocks and rotted wood. The owner had kept meaning to deal with it. Then one morning he called. The real problem wasn't the boat itself. It was that the trailer was gone, which meant we couldn't tow it out the way most removals go. The driveway was tight, bordered by a fence on one side and a neighbor's property line on the other. We winched the hull onto our heavy-duty trailer right there on the blocks, which took most of a morning. Once it was secure and the collapsed frame was loaded separately, we routed the Glasspar to our processor in Williamson County where the hull gets cut down and the fiberglass gets recycled properly.
