Meridian, ID: 24 ft Formula Gone in One Morning

A 24 ft Formula 242 with a cuddy cabin sat in a Meridian driveway for three years. The owner had noticed soft spots in the cockpit floor a while back, and when we pulled the boat, we found the stringers rotted underneath. The tandem trailer had rusted so badly that one axle was borderline unsafe to tow. The real problem wasn't the boat itself. It was getting the rig out of a narrow side yard with a fence line on one side and power lines overhead. The trailer tires were flat and the coupling had seized. We blocked the boat, pulled the trailer out on a dolly first, then winched the hull itself back and to the side so we could clear the fence. Took us most of a morning. Once we had it on the truck, we routed the Formula to the recycler in Ada County. The fiberglass and stringers went into the processor. The trailer metal got sorted for scrap. Done. We cover all of Ada County: Boise, Eagle, Kuna, Star, Garden City, and Hidden Springs. Most pickups happen same week.
