Mesquite, TX: 27 ft Catalina Gone in One Morning

A 27 ft Catalina 27 sailboat had been sitting on concrete blocks in a Mesquite driveway for three years. The standing rigging was seized solid, the sails were rotted inside their bag, and the owner had finally decided the boat wasn't coming back to life. The trailer underneath had settled unevenly, one wheel locked and the frame twisted enough that we couldn't just tow it straight. We brought a crane and a specialized dolly to lift the hull off the blocks and reset it onto a level base before we could even hook the trailer. Once we had it mobile, we hauled it to our Dallas County yard where we pulled the mast and dropped the keel. The fiberglass went to the processor and the metal got recycled. The whole job ran most of a morning from start to finish. Crews cover all of Dallas County: Irving, Grand Prairie, Lewisville, Rowlett, DeSoto, Grapevine. We handle same-week pickups for most jobs in the Mesquite area. A lot of what we see here is seasonal, boats coming out of storage in spring, going back in fall, and we've got the routes dialed in to move quick when the call comes. Whether your 27-footer's on a trailer in a driveway or sitting in a yard, we know how to load it and get it out without tearing up the property.
