22 ft Catalina Removal in New Brunswick, NJ

A 22 ft Catalina 22 sailboat had been sitting in a yard in New Brunswick for years with its mast down and lashed to the deck. The swing-keel trailer it rode on had flat tires and hadn't moved in so long the owner had stopped thinking about it as a boat and started thinking about it as a permanent fixture. When he finally called, the first problem was obvious: the trailer wasn't going anywhere without new rubber and a tow vehicle rated for the weight. We showed up on a Thursday morning with a flatbed and a plan. The mast stays lashed until we get it to the yard, so we worked around it. We jacked the trailer, swapped out the flats for wheels that would actually roll, and chained the hull down tight. From the driveway to our facility took under two hours. Once we had it on the lot, we pulled the swing keel, separated the mast, and ran the fiberglass hull to the processor for recycling. Crews cover all of Middlesex County: Edison, Piscataway, Perth Amboy, East Brunswick, South Brunswick, Sayreville. We handle pickups same week most of the time. A lot of boats come out of storage yards around New Brunswick in spring, and we're out there pulling them off trailers and loading them before the season really hits. Winter storage moves work the same way, call us, we show up, the boat goes on the truck.
