A move across town left the pontoon behind because nobody in the household wanted to tow it themselves through city traffic on an unfamiliar trailer. The 22 ft Starcraft had been a river boat for a few summers, then storage costs at the new place made keeping it not worth the hassle, and it sat in the driveway through the whole move with moving boxes staged around it. The trailer tires were fine, the problem was clearance, a low carport roof at the new address that our truck couldn't back under with the boat still attached. We unhooked short, walked the pontoon out by hand past the carport post, then re-hitched once we had room to maneuver. Loaded and gone in under forty minutes.
