Hauling a sailboat out of a Perris driveway

A 25 ft O'Day 25 was sitting in a driveway in Perris, Riverside County, with keel bolts that had been weeping rust down the hull for years. The sailboat was on stands, not a trailer, which meant it couldn't roll anywhere and the ground around it had settled unevenly. The owner had moved inland and stopped sailing a decade back, and the boat just stayed put while the fiberglass oxidized and the fasteners corroded. We showed up early on a Wednesday morning with a crane truck and a flatbed. The stands had to come out first, and the ground was soft enough that we needed to run plates under the crane feet so we didn't sink. Took most of the morning. Once it was on the bed, we hauled it back to our yard in Riverside County, where we dropped the mast and pulled the keel. The hull went to the fiberglass processor the following week. Crews cover all of Riverside County: Riverside, Moreno Valley, Corona, Murrieta, Temecula, Jurupa Valley. Most pickups happen same week. Perris sits in the middle of storage and seasonal movement routes, so we're used to pulling boats out before the dry season hits or after someone's stored one through the winter and realized they're done with it.
