Raising a 34 ft Silverton 34 in North Fort Myers, FL

A 34 ft Silverton 34 motor yacht spent a decade on the hard with a blue tarp for a roof before it ever touched water, and the tarp had been the last thing keeping rain out. Once afloat on a mooring, it settled by the stern with the bow pointing up. The tarp pooled water, and that water went below.
The obstacle was size. A 34-footer full of water weighs a lot more than people expect, and one pump cannot catch up. We stripped the tarp, set a ring of lift bags along both sides, and lifted in stages while three pumps worked the cabin and engine room. Fuel was drained into drums first.
The sunken boat removal ran about eight hours, a long day. A tow brought the Silverton to a yard on the Cape Coral side. A decade of neglect made it unrepairable, so it was dismantled for recycling, with the engines pulled for salvage.

Crews cover Lee County: Bonita Springs, Cape Coral, Cypress Lake, and Estero. When a boat goes under in North Fort Myers or anywhere nearby, we schedule the recovery the same week once we have photos and a rough depth. Leaving a sunk hull alone seldom pays off, because fuel, oil, and rough weather only add to it, so ringing us with a handful of pictures gets a crew scheduled fastest.
