34 ft Silverton Removal in Stockton, CA

This Stockton job was a 34 ft Silverton 34 motor yacht that had been sitting on stands for about a decade, a blue tarp roof standing in for the flybridge canvas that rotted off years back. Fiberglass hulls like that hold up on the outside, but the deck core underneath had gone soft, and the trailer it once rode in on was long gone, just concrete blocks and rust streaks where the pads sat. Getting it down off the stands was the real problem. A boat that size sitting unbalanced for ten years shifts weight strangely once you start jacking it, so we worked it corner by corner, checking the load at each point before moving to the next. San Joaquin County yards like this one often have tight approach lanes off the road toward Manteca, so we ran the crane truck in early before anyone else needed the space. Most of a morning, start to finish. No title in the drawer, handled per the California page rules. The hull got cut down on site and routed straight to the processor. Crews cover all of San Joaquin County: Tracy, Manteca, Lodi, Lathrop, Mountain House, Ripon. Most of the time we're getting a Stockton boat owner off the same-week schedule, especially this Silverton, since a call in the morning can turn into a truck at the gate before Friday. A lot of these jobs come out of seasonal storage lots where a boat's been rolled to the back row and forgotten between haul-in and haul-out. We work straight off the storage aisle so nobody has to move it themselves first.
