Raising a 24 ft Maxum 2400 SCR in Fuller Heights, FL

Chalked white from the sun and soft at the transom, the 24 ft Maxum 2400 SCR sat on the bottom beside a lake dock with her gunwales even with the water. Weeds had wrapped her outdrive.
The weeds were the problem. They tangled the lines, and our divers had to cut through them. We ran pumps from the dock, and the crew raked the weed mat from the surface while the water went down. Only after that did we hook the straps. She came up slowly with a lot of lake weed trailing behind.
We finished in about two hours. This sunken boat recovery was mostly cleanup. The transom was rotted, so the Maxum went through Haines City to our yard for dismantling and recycling. We kept the helm gear for salvage, and the tow from the dock was short.

Crews cover Polk County: Auburndale, Bartow, Davenport, Haines City. Polk County crews work the lakes and the highways around them. A boat under water at a lake dock is a same-week raise, and we plan for weeds. Tell us how thick the weeds are around the dock, and we bring a rake and an extra diver. Our trucks head out on the main east-west road, and most lake jobs here wrap by early afternoon.
