Doral, FL: 22 ft Sun Tracker Party Barge 22 Off the Bottom in One Morning

Ramp traffic never stopped around the 22 ft Sun Tracker Party Barge 22, deck boards spongy and rail bent. At the public ramp the tubes took water, and she settled by the stern, bow pointing up, blocking half the lane.
The obstacle was the ramp traffic. Boats kept arriving, so the crew set cones, kept the work to one side, and moved quickly. We strapped the pontoon tubes instead of the soft deck, ran lift bags under the rails, and brought her up level. The rotted boards stayed on deck until she was on the trailer.
On site we spent about three hours. With the tubes dented and the deck beyond saving, the barge was not worth fixing. A trailer tow headed toward Homestead to our yard for dismantling and recycling. The salvage was the aluminum tubes, and the sunken boat recovery left the ramp open for the afternoon launches.

Crews cover Miami-Dade County: Tamiami, Coral Terrace, South Miami Heights, Homestead, The Hammocks, and West Little River. When a hull ends up on the bottom somewhere in the county, we aim to have a diver and a workboat at the water that same week. Pictures and a depth guess get us started, and we will tell you how the raise would go and where the hull lands afterward.
