Fish Hawk, FL: 24 ft Harris FloteBote 24 Off the Bottom in One Morning

Bubbled vinyl covered the floor of the 24 ft Harris FloteBote 24, and the bimini frame had snapped and folded into the water. She sat on her mooring settled by the stern with the bow pointing up.
The snapped bimini was the problem. Its tubes and canvas tangled the lift lines, and the crew could not get a clean strap. A diver went down to cut the frame loose in sections and bring it up by hand. Only then could we clip lift bags to the logs and raise her. The delay added an hour, but nothing tore.
The whole job ran about three hours. Sunken boat removal sometimes starts with cutting away what the owner added. The floor had rotted, and the tubes were holed, so the pontoon went through Brandon to our yard for dismantling and recycling. We pulled the console and railing for salvage. A short tow got it to the trailer.
