Sunken Cabin Cruiser Recovery in Cutler Bay

Along the waterline of the 24 ft Bayliner 2455 Ciera ran a green algae line, and the hull had gone chalky. She sat on a mooring with a cracked raw-water hose filling slowly until only the cabin roof showed above the surface.
The obstacle was the cabin itself. Closed up for months, it held mud, old cushions, and a lot of trapped water. We opened the hatches only after the diver had sealed the hose fitting, then ran lift bags while the crew hauled out the soaked cushions. The hull rose evenly, and we steadied her alongside the work skiff.
On site, we spent about three hours. The gelcoat was gone and the transom spongy, so the hull was not worth rebuilding. A trailer tow headed toward Homestead to our yard for dismantling and recycling. The salvage was the engine. The sunken boat removal left the mooring ready for the next boat.

Crews cover Miami-Dade County: Tamiami, Coral Terrace, South Miami Heights, Homestead, The Hammocks, and West Little River. If a boat sinks anywhere in the county, we aim to have a diver and a workboat at the water that same week. Send pictures and an approximate depth and we will tell you how the raise would go and where the hull lands afterward.
