Sunken Sailboat Recovery in Ensley

Every keel bolt on the 25 ft O'Day 25 was weeping rust down the hull, and the owner had been meaning to haul her out for two seasons. One windy week, the water came over the stern, and the sailboat settled with her bow pointing up.
What made the raise tricky was the weather window. Wind pushed the boat on her mooring and the tide ran hard past the hull. We waited for slack water and then ran pumps off the skiff while a diver patched the cockpit drain and plugged the leaking seacock. She floated in about forty minutes. We lashed her alongside and brought her in, the whole tow taking twenty minutes.
The job ate most of a morning with the wait. This was sunken boat recovery where timing mattered more than gear. The keel bolts could be redone, and a buyer wanted a project, so she was salvaged and trailered through Pensacola to a repair yard instead of our recycling line.

Crews cover Escambia County: Brent, Ferry Pass, Myrtle Grove, Pensacola. Escambia crews cover the north end of the bay and the neighborhoods behind it. A wind and tide window decides the day, so we plan the raise around slack water and, most weeks, finish it the same week we are called.
