Raising a 25 ft O'Day 25 in Jensen Beach, FL

Rust was weeping down the hull from the keel bolts of the 25 ft O'Day 25 sailboat. It had been tied to a mooring until it settled by the stern with the bow pointing up, and the keel was the reason it never came back up on its own.
You do not lift a sailboat by the keel bolts. The crew ran slings and lift bags, so the load stayed on the hull and not on that rust. A diver checked the bolts by hand. They were tired, but they held, and the raise went smoothly.
That sunken boat recovery took about three hours. The O'Day floated, we took it by tow to the ramp with the skiff, and a trailer took it a few miles toward Stuart. The hull was good, and the keel needed re-bedding, so a repair yard accepted the job. Salvage ended up being the better route here.

Crews cover Martin County: Hobe Sound, Palm City, Stuart, and Indiantown. Sailboats on moorings get a same-week visit with a diver and a skiff. Many of our runs here follow the same two roads, so the truck is rarely more than half an hour from a ramp. Call with the mooring location.
