Raising a 24 ft Bayliner 2455 Ciera in Sugarmill Woods, FL

Chalk covered the hull of the 24 ft Bayliner 2455 Ciera with a green algae line above it. She sat in a slip for two seasons without much attention. One bilge switch quit, the rain kept coming, and she settled until the deck was awash with the bow tipped up.
The marina office was the hard part. They wanted her out before the weekend but had a tight rule about equipment on the docks. We kept everything on the water. Lift bags went under from a skiff, and we raised her slowly, so nothing swung into the pilings.
Floating again, she went out on a tow to the ramp. The engine was seized, but the hull was sound under the chalk, and that matters for the next owner. The Ciera went to a repair yard near Crystal River for a full survey. Three hours on site, and sunken boat recovery here ended with a boat worth saving. Salvage was the right call.

Crews cover Citrus County: Beverly Hills, Crystal River, Floral City, and Hernando. When a boat goes under in Sugarmill Woods, photos and a rough depth are usually enough to plan the job, and most recoveries here are scheduled within the same week. We haul in the bags, a work skiff, and a trailer, and the owner does not need to coordinate anybody else. Shoot us a few photos and we will describe the raise step by step.
