Sunken Cabin Cruiser Recovery in Plantation

Plantation canal side, a 23 ft Chris-Craft Cavalier showed decades of barn dust and a cracked keel strip underneath. The owner moved her to a canal seawall to clean her up for sale, and the strip opened up in the first week. She sat down with the cabin roof just above the surface.
The obstacle was the neighborhood. The canal was narrow, the road was tight, and the seawall had a dock piling every few feet. The crew brought two skiffs in from the open end, set lift bags under her, and ran the dewatering from the road with the hose along the wall. We kept the lift slow because dry wood swells when it wets.
About four hours, and she floated. A tow got her to a ramp, and the trailer took her toward Fort Lauderdale to a repair yard. The structure was sound, and the strip a simple fix, so this sunken boat removal was a clean salvage and a boat that got a second life.

Crews cover Broward County: Coral Springs, Deerfield Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Hollywood. When a boat goes under in Plantation or any of those towns, we plan the recovery the same week, sort out the depth and access by photo, and get a crew on site as soon as the water and the schedule allow.
