Sunken Cuddy Cabin Recovery in Tampa

Years of neglect showed on the 23 ft Rinker 232, where gelcoat crazed like a road map covered the hull and the owner had stopped checking. At the ramp, the boat sat with the gunwales level with the water, a cuddy cabin full to the cushions. The battery had run flat, and that was that.
The ramp was busy, which made it the obstacle. We needed room to stage without blocking launches. So we came out before sunrise, ran the skiff alongside, and rigged lift bags to float her. A winch line brought the hull up the concrete.
She came out slowly and drained for twenty minutes before the truck could move on a short tow line. The hull was stiff, but the gelcoat was past polish, and the deck had a delaminated patch. Salvage did not make sense for a boat that tired. She went to our yard for dismantling and recycling through Brandon. Four hours of sunken boat removal, and the ramp was open for the morning crowd.

Crews cover Hillsborough County: Apollo Beach, Bloomingdale, Brandon, and Cheval. When a boat goes under in Tampa, photos and a rough depth are usually enough to plan the job, and most recoveries here are scheduled within the same week. We show up with our own bags, our own skiff, and a trailer, so you do not have to line up three different outfits. Pass along your photos and we will say what it takes to bring her up.
