Hauling a bowrider out of a Tonawanda Town salvage job

A 20 ft Galaxy 2000 bowrider sat in a yard in Tonawanda Town with no trailer underneath it. The previous owner had started taking it apart,hull panels removed, interior gutted,and never finished the job. What was left was a fiberglass shell that weighed several thousand pounds and sat low enough that a standard flatbed couldn't slide under it without raising the whole thing first. We brought a rotator and a heavy-duty lift kit. The crew jacked the hull up in stages, working from both sides to keep it balanced, then slid steel beams underneath for support. Once it was high enough, the truck backed in and we secured it with chains and load bars. The whole operation took most of a morning. From there, the Galaxy went to our processor in Erie County, where the fiberglass gets separated from any remaining metal and routed to the recycler. Crews cover all of Erie County: Buffalo, Cheektowaga, West Seneca, Clarence, Grand Island, Lackawanna. Tonawanda Town sits right in the middle of our regular route, so same-week pickup is standard.
