Sunken Motor Yacht Recovery in Bellview

The 34 ft Silverton 34 spent a decade on the hard under a blue tarp roof before someone finally put her on a mooring. The hull was not ready for water. Within weeks she was sitting with her deck awash and the bow slightly up.
Size was the challenge. A 34 footer full of water weighs more than most people expect, and the old tarp frame was a snag hazard for the diver. We cut the frame away first, then rigged lift bags fore and aft so the lift stayed even. For the last stretch we took her slowly on a short tow behind our workboat, so nothing shifted.
All of it took about five hours. She was beyond a sensible repair, so she went to our yard toward Pensacola for dismantling and recycling. The sunken boat removal was straightforward in the end, and we pulled the engines out for salvage before the hull was cut.

Crews cover Escambia County: Ensley, West Pensacola, Ferry Pass, Brent, and Pensacola. A boat that sinks in any part of the county, we aim to have a diver and a workboat at the water that same week. Text us photos and an estimated depth, and we will tell you how the raise would go and where the hull lands afterward.
