Union, NY: 22 ft Larson Gone in One Morning

A 22 ft Larson 220 with a cuddy cabin showed up in Union with rainwater pooling above the deck drain and one trailer tire completely flat. The fiberglass hull had been sitting for three years, and nobody in the neighborhood wanted to look at it anymore. The flat tire meant we couldn't roll it out to the road, and the deck weight made jacking it up tricky without cracking the hull or sinking the jack into soft ground. We brought a second trailer, blocked the frame with cribbing, and lifted the Larson onto our heavy-duty hauler. The whole job ran under two hours from arrival to wheels rolling toward Binghamton. Once we got it to the processor, the hull went through the standard fiberglass recycling line. The resin and glass get separated and routed to material recovery. Nothing goes to a landfill.
